Do You Get Off On Top?

One of the most common positions for sexual intercourse, after the missionary, is the woman on top. It is relatively easy and comfortable for both partners and is overall a very gratifying one. Most of you probably include it as part of your regularly used positions, but if you don't already, you may want to.

The technique used in this position is fairly simple. The basic maneuver involves the man lying on his back with the woman facing him, her legs straddling his. This position allows the woman to insert the penis at a rate she feels comfortable, especially advantageous if she is sensitive. The woman may then prop herself up on her elbows or hands and proceed as desired. If she lacks sufficient upper body strength to accomplish this, then the man may assist by placing his hands either on her shoulders or arms to help hold her upright. If this proves too difficult or uncomfortable, then she may just lay down flat on the man. A disadvantage to the woman lying down flat is that the penis may slip out of the vagina fairly easily if the man is not thrusting in conjunction with her, particularly for men with a shorter penises. Using this technique, the woman has the option of having her legs straight or bent at the knees (almost in a frog-like position) both producing different sensations. Try both to see which suits you best.

A variation of this technique is for the woman to sit upright straddling the man, which is very rewarding, but requires a greater level of strength and stamina. However, this method allows penis to stay inside the vagina properly with greater ease and allows for all around deeper penetration. The woman may want to try either holding on to her partner's shoulders or chest, but even the headboard of the bed or a wall will prove useful. The man has the option to either lie fairly still, or thrust in tandem with the woman, (which is obviously preferable if they can manage it). In this variation, the woman's legs must be bent to support the majority of her weight.

The woman on top position offers three major benefits that you will find increases your sexual pleasure. One of the highlights of this position is that most women are able to reach orgasm, which has to do with the fact that there is a greater amount of clitoral stimulation. Another reason that it is easier for the woman to climax in this position is the fact that she has total control over the depth of penetration and the tempo of the thrusting.

One of the biggest pluses of this position is that, unless he is supporting you, the man has his hands free. As a result, during intercourse the man may now use them caress his partner, making sure to pay particular attention to her breasts. As it is common for many women to require additional clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm, this position allows the man to do so more easily than others you might attempt. The female may also has at least one hand free with which she can in turn caress her partner or herself. Many couples find that clitoral stimulation can be made easier by using a vibrator held by either partner.
